Skip the Green Booze
Throughout America, adults celebrate Saint Patrick's Day by drinking heavily. This is a tradition that should definitely be upheld at your party. Instead of serving your guests Coors Light with green food coloring, though, why not spring for some real Irish beer? You can get bottles of Smithwick's and Guinness at nearly every liquor store in America. If you want to spend a little more money, you can also spring for some real, imported Irish whiskey.
Serve Up Some Irish Fare
If you want to throw a more grown up St. Patrick's Day party, then cook up some traditional Irish food to serve your guests. Corned beef, cabbage and boiled carrots and potatoes is a traditional Irish dish that anyone can make, no matter how inexperienced or just plain bad you are at cooking. This dish makes great party food because it will serve a ton of people. You can set your meal out buffet style and have your guests serve themselves to increase mingling.
Play Some Irish Music
If you want to throw a really fantastic St. Patrick's Day party, mix some Irish music into your playlist. You probably don't want to play exclusively Irish music, but you definitely want to have the Pogues somewhere on your playlist.
These are some great ideas to help you celebrate St. Patrick's Day in style. But however you celebrate, make sure to embrace the Irish spirit".
